Like thousands of others that have posted to the Apple support forums this morning, I too am experiencing the -4 error. More specifically it reads: “We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-4). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.”

WTF! Didn’t Apple realize there would be millions of hits to their servers this morning for the global rollout of 2.0? Sheesh. They should have rolled out the new 2.0 software to those that had existing iPhones last week. This would have (at the very least) reduced the burden on their servers during today’s release of then new 3G iPhone.

Come on Apple, this is such a Microsoft thing to do.
